How I Monetize My Account & Help You Save

I never dreamed a goofy mama who posted photos of her children’s bento box lunches on the internet would be someone folks would want to follow along with, but here we are, haha. I am beyond grateful for this platform and the gifts it provides me (most importantly, being able to work from home and be close to my girls). From day one, I was open and honest about how I intended to monetize Bows and Bentos. No spammy website ads. Not charging to consume my content.  With that being said, I do feel like my words and my wit and my ideas and my recipes are worthy of reasonable compensation – just not from you.

One of the ways I monetize my content is through affiliate links. When you make a purchase that you wanted to make anyways through my affiliate link (a specially coded link that shows a retailer than *I* sent you to them), I may earn a small commission (at no extra cost to you) from those retailers. Those small commissions allow me to help provide for my family and continue producing fun free content for everyone to enjoy (including the expenses of running a website with no ads). It doesn’t cost you a cent, but is of immense support to me. It is how folks can support my small business.

  • I will always make it explicitly clear when I have included a link from which I may be profiting, and when items have been gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.
  • I will ONLY ever share affiliate links for products I use and enjoy myself – the trust I have with you is most important to me, and I won’t be spamming you with junk just to make a buck. If I am sharing something with you, know that I love it. I will only ever partner with companies and products I believe in.

* A few things to note:

  • Clicking my Amazon link and shopping through the App voids the commission to me, and re-routes it to either Apple or Google (depending on which store you downloaded the app from). That is how they get paid….a lot.
  • Clicking any of my links and then activating Rakuten voids the commission to me and re-routes it to Rakuten and yourself.
  • Like every other maker, baker, content creator – we’re all trying to help provide for ourselves and our families in weirdly volatile economic times. I just want to be transparent with you in how I’m doing it.
  • Thank you, thank you, thank you. From the bottom of my heart.
