Cinnamon Spread Dupe

Cinnamon Spread Dupe

*This* was the taste of my early 90's childhood. Spreading this on toast and taking that first melty bite brings back nostalgia like nothing else. Imperial (now owned by Unilever) discontinued this product several years ago, but I was determined to recreate it. This tastes the exact same to me, and if you're looking for that nostalgic Imperial Cinnamon Spread taste, I got you.
Is this healthy? No. Just enjoy it.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Imperial Margarine Yes, you can use (softened) butter. It just won't taste the *exact* same (although, it will be healthier). Your choice.
  • 1 tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom
  • 1/4 cup Icing Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  • Whip all the ingredients up until smooth. You can store this in an airtight container in your fridge for a few weeks, if it lasts that long. If you opt for real butter, don't leave it out on the counter or it will spoil.
